The George in Rye
The town of Rye has an annual scallop festival in the month of February. I was asked to decorate The Brides’ Loo celebrating the wonders of British shells. There was a mad shell panic as I ran out of scallop shells nearing completion but soon a kind Whitstable restaurant came to our rescue and even put the shells through the dishwasher so they could be used immediately.
